Reina M. Salcedo, M.Ed.

Academic Skills Specialist

Reina Salcedo serves as the Academic Skills Specialist and works directly with our UIC students in assisting them in achieving their personal, academic, and professional goals through the initiatives and meetings that we provide. She believes that student success goes beyond the classroom and beyond college and that we must continue to work diligently on having successful pipelines not only for college admittance but for life-long preparation.

Born and raised on the west side of the city, Reina is an advocate for all students pursuing higher education and believes that it truly takes a village to get to where we are in life. As a first-generation college graduate, it was because of her support system at home and school that Reina was able to obtain her BA in Spanish from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Loyola University Chicago.
