It's Time for a Mental Break!

This month our program will take time to focus on your Mental Health & Wellness. We are thrilled to offer a 4-Week "non-credit" workshop aimed to help you increase your understanding and knowledge about anxiety and depression. The curriculum for this workshop will address things like how societal challenges, stress and life changes can impact our lifestyles. Since this workshop is taught via our CHANCE Virtual Connections (online campus) students will have the opportunity to join the conversations "anytime, anyplace, 24/7".

In the workshop you will gain information on:

  • What is mental health?
  • Tips on the importance of adequate sleep, eating right, and daily exercise.
  • Provide a "safe-haven" platform to discuss your JOURNEY to create a personal space to "renew and recharge" (especially as we are still dealing with this pandemic).
  • Help bring CALM to your life and provide you with life-long tools to use while facing anxiety-triggering solutions.

On Thursday, February 18th from 6:00pm - 7:00pm via Zoom Videoconferencing, we are pleased that our very own Dr. Belva Miles, Psychologist, UIC Counseling Center will spend time with our students as she will share her expertise on this very important subject matter and take questions from students and staff who attend.

This workshop is OPEN TO ALL UIC STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF!
